Making a Spanking Paddle

So I’ve been thinking about this for a while and I found a couple of appropriate chunks of wood randomly on the street the other day…. they look like they have some from a piece of solid furniture and feels heavier than pine but I’ve no idea what wood it is.

I’m really liking this paddle! Its quite dense and thick and packs a punch. Looking forward to using this!

Next time I will be a lot more careful on my cutting as its a bit lopsided put not bad for my skill level and with a hand held jigsaw and sander. This would be a lot easier with a band saw or a scroll saw. …I need a bigger workshop.
